什么是真正的朋友?

Do you have a best friend? What about them makes them your best friend? Over the past 14 years that I have lived on Earth, I’ve made friends of all sorts from many different places around the world. I have had memorable moments with old friends living on the other side of the Earth and I remember bad experiences with friends filled with drama and fights. Although I would definitely not place myself anywhere near wise or knowledgeable, from my past experiences I can confidently tell you what a true friend is.

你有最好的朋友吗？他们如何成为了你最好的朋友？在过去的14年里，我从地球的不同的地方交到了各式各样的朋友。我和地球另一边的老朋友们有着难忘的时刻。我也记得一些坏的经历，比如戏弄和争吵。虽然我并不认为自己是一个聪明或者博学的人,但是从我的经验中，我能肯定的告诉你什么是真正的朋友。

Friends are why we have purpose in this world. We help each other when we are weak. Friends depend on each other for comfort and support. It isn’t just all about having a fun time, although that is important as well. When we are stuck in tough situations in life, friends are usually who we turn to if not family. As the saying goes: Hard times always reveal true friends. Friends will stick by your side no matter what you are going through and will support you in times of need. There will never be a fear of being alone or abandoned when you have a true friend. Furthermore, friends will show you the light. They redirect you when you get lost. They are your backbone and you are also fully committed to helping them back in their times of need. Friendship is a two way street.

朋友是为什么我们生活在这个世上有目标的原因。当我们脆弱的时候我们互相帮助。朋友们依赖彼此得到安慰和支持。友谊不仅仅是说在一起玩的开心，虽然这点也很重要。当我们在生活中陷入困境的时候，除了家人，朋友们是我们常去求助的。俗话说：患难见真情。不管你在经历什么，朋友们会坚定不移的站在你这边，并且及时的给予帮助。你有正真的朋友时，你从来不害怕孤单和被抛弃。此外，朋友是指明灯，当你迷失的时候，会引导你正确的方向。他们是你的支柱，你也一定会在他们需要的时候帮助他们。友谊是双向的。

In addition, true friends are the people you feel comfortable around. You don’t have to put up a mask and hide yourself in front of true friends, for they will not be quick to judge and are understanding of your unique personality. They are trustworthy of your secrets and things you find personal. In some cases, friends may even save your life. Obviously, friends can be anyone anytime, but a true friend is for a lifetime.

此外，真正的朋友在一起感觉很舒服。在他们面前，你不需要带上面具隐藏自己，他们不会按表面快速的评判，他们理解你独特的个性。对于你的秘密和比较私人的东西，他们是可信赖去交托的。有些时候，朋友甚至可能救你一命。很明显，朋友可以是某人某些时候，但是真正的朋友是一生的。

Being a true friend is dedicated to spend your blood, sweat and tears with another person you care about. We all have many friends but finding a true friend may take more than just a year. For me, I didn’t find my true friend until this year. So take your time and when you do find a true friend, you will know it. I encourage you to work toward being that true friend to as many people as possible. I believe that genuine happiness cannot be achieved unless we find our true friends in life. It may take a while, but friends shape your life and who you are. Having friends in my life is one of the things I am most thankful for. Friends are for life and when you do find them, treasure every moment you have with them.

作为一个真正的朋友意味着为另一个你在意的人奉献你的鲜血，汗水和泪水。我们都有很多朋友，但是找到一个真正的朋友可能需要不止一年时间。对于我来说，我是直到今年才找到一个真正的朋友。所以不用着急，当你找到的时候，你自然会知道。我鼓励你和尽可能多的人努力成为真正的朋友。 我相信除非我们找到生命中真正的朋友，不然不会真正的快乐。它可能会花费一定的时间，但是朋友会塑造你的生活和你是谁。拥有朋友是我最感恩的事情之一。朋友是一生的，当你找到他们的时候，珍惜你们在一起的每个时刻。
