Hello, I am Melissa Long, at the cnn centre in Atlanta, with a look at what's happening NOW IN THE NEWS.

Insurgents killed 20 and wounded at least 40 others following two mid-day suicide car bombings today in Ramadi, west of Baghdad. The first attack was at a market, at noon local time, the second bomb exploded on ten minutes later, at a police checkpoint, about a mile away. Nine US soldiers died on Sunday including six in a roadside bombing northeast of Baghdad.

New pictures in from Cameroon, rescuers reached the wreckage overnight of a Kenya Airway's flight that crashed near the capital of Cameroon early on Saturday. The plane went down into a mangrove swamp with 114 people on board, including one American. The flight was heading for Nairobi Kenya. Searchers do not expect to find survivors.

Every business on Greensburg's main street is reportedly demolished. Officials estimate as much as 95% of that Kansas town was destroyed. Residents will be allowed back into their neighborhoods today to sift through the rubble. 8 people were killed in Greensburg bringing the twister's death toll across Kansas to ten.

A deadly explosion outside of a Las Vegas strip resort may have been a murder attempt. Local media report that a casino employee may be the intended target of this morning's bomb attack. He died when he tried to remove a small device from the top of his car, blew up in a parking lot outside the Luxor Hotel Casino. Another person nearby was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The White House rolled out the red carpet to welcome Queen Elizabeth Ⅱ and her husband, Prince Philip to Washington. Greeting the royal couple, President Bush and the First Lady, the Queen got a 21-gun salute and a military parade. President Bush will honor the British Royals with a white-tie state dinner tonight. The Queen wraps up her six-day trip to the US tomorrow.
