Boulder Colorado policemen and SWAT team members are searching for 2 men seen prowling around Boulder high school. A cafeteria worker spotted the men this morning and alerted the authorities, according to that worker, the men were wearing camouflage and at least one was wearing a ski mask. Police said the worker didn’t say the suspects were armed but officials decided to play it safe in cancel(led) classes for the day.

Three current and former executives with the Purdue Pharma drug company have pleaded guilty to misleading the public about risks involving oxycontin. Oxycontin is used as pain-killer. And the US attorney says the company admitted to illegally marketing and promoting oxycontin and also claimed it was less addictive than other pain medications. The company and those executives will pay more than 630 million dollars in fines.

The Georgia state forestry department says 2 juveniles have been charged in connection with some of the wildfires in the southern part of that state. The arrests were made after a blood-hunt tracked the footprints discovered at one of the fires to spot where teens hang out. A Georgia Forestry Commission arson task force member said one of the teens confessed to starting one of the fires.

Vice president Dick Cheney has concluded his unannounced visit to Iraq. The vice president met with US soldier station near Tikrit, once home base of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein. The vice president defended the Bush administration’s decision to beef up troop levels in Iraq. He called it “vital to the mission”. Cheney is now in the United Arab Emirates the latest stop in a week-long tour of the Middle East.

NASCAR car driver Denil Enhr Junier is leaving the racing company his father founded. He made that announcement earlier today, Denil Enhr Junier and his step-mother have been at odds for months over what’s best for the company. The 2 sides were never able to agree on a new contract to keep Denil Junier, his step-mother runs DEI.
