Good afternoon to you, from the cnn center in Atlanta. I am Cory Kessler. Thanks for joining us. Here's a look at what's happening NOW IN THE NEWS.

Three people are dead in Moscow, Idaho, after a gunman opened fire on a sheriff's office from a church. One of the dead is a police officer. The two others were found after police stormed the church where a gunman was believed to be hiding. One of the bodies is believed to be that of the gunman. Late Saturday night, the gunman opened fire on the county courthouse in Moscow, then shot a police officer, who responded to the attack. A second officer is in serious condition. A civilian is in stable condition.

A total of 15 American soldiers have been killed in Iraq this weekend .In the largest single incident, seven US soldiers were killed in a roadside bomb explosion in Baghdad. More than 3,400 American military personnel have died in Baghdad since the start of the war.

A nine-mile stretch of interstate 80 in Pennsylvania is open again after a bus accident that killed two people forced authorities to close it. People say the bus was eastbound when it crashed early this morning. Investigators have not determined the cause of the accident. Thirty-one other people were injured in the accident.

Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter says he believes Attorney General Alberto Gonzales could step down sometime this week. The Republican's prediction comes as Democrats prepare for a no-confidence vote on Gonzales. Specter said he believes several Republicans could join Democrats in expressing a lack of confidence in the embattled Attorney General. Gonzales has been under for his firings for eight former federal prosecutors. Some suspect/ the firings were politically motivated and done at the urging of the White House.

A number of lawmakers from both parties are promising to put off the fight on newly proposed immigration regulations. Many claim the bill basically amounts to amnesty and would only encourage more illegal immigration .The US Commerce Secretary says that isn't the case. "There is no automatic path, so for those folks who were saying, you know, this is amnesty. There is nothing automatic here. There is nothing guaranteed." If passed, the legislation would offer an estimated 12 million undocumented immigrants a way to become citizens.

Members of Walt Disney World's largest union group have rejected a tentative contract. The workers include food service personnel and lifeguards. They've been working under a contract extension since their old one expired last month. The latest extension maxes out tomorrow night.
