The U.S. military has confirmed the body found yesterday is that of Private First Class Joseph Anzack Jr of Torrance, California. He was one of the three American soldiers who disappeared on May 12th. His body was pulled from the Euphrates River, south of where an Al-Qaeda-linked terrorist group says it attacked his unit. United States is supplying the Lebanese government with military equipment and ammunition to help them rule out Islamic militants. The first U.S. military flights carrying the supplies are scheduled to land in Lebanon in the next few days. The country's U.S.-backed Prime Minister has ordered them to surrender or face another fierce military assault.

Senators behind Immigration Reform Bill are trying to keep the compromise together in the meantime. The legislation is facing dozens of amendments from Democrats and Republicans. Yesterday the Senate voted to add tougher security measures and slash the number of foreign workers allowed on temporary visas.

Drivers, who found themselves stalled out in standing water, had to be helped from their cars.
