Hello, I am Melissa Long here at the cnn center in Atlanta with a look at what’s happening NOW IN THE NEWS.

A man infected with a rare potentially deadly form of tuberculosis has triggered a global health alert. He is under federal quarantine at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. Italian officials say they have identified passengers aboard the man’s flight from the Czech Republic to Canada. They are working to contact them in the hopes of getting those passengers tested for TB. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends the passengers who sat within two rows of that man be tested as soon as possible.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash of an F8-F15 fighter jet in southwestern Indiana. Police officers in Knox County, Indiana say the jet crashed in the Town of Vincennes. The pilots safely ejected and parachuted to the ground.

President Bush has formally nominated former Deputy Secretary of State Robert Zoellick to replace Paul Wolfowitz as head of the World Bank. Wolfowitz is stepping down June 30th after a controversy involving his alledged arrangement of a hefty pay package for his girlfriend, a bank employee. The nomination must be approved by the World Bank's 24-member board.

President Bush is asking Congress today to triple the amount of funding for his international AIDS initiative. If accepted, the program's funding would increase by 30 billion dollars and extend the program an additional five years.

And other latest in the race to 08, you can add Alaska and Georgia to the list of states that will hold their presidential primaries in caucuses on February 5th. 15 states have made the move and five more are considering it.

New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin will give his State of City address tonight. It will be the first since hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans nearly two years ago. The 2007 Atlantic hurricane season, it begins on Friday.
