Al Qaeda could strike on US soil within the next three years. That's the chilling warning contained in the latest National Intelligence Estimate. It gages a threat to the United States. Now National Intelligence Estimatesare usually written-reports used by all 16 spy agencies in the US government. The report also says that Al Qaeda still seeks weapons of mass destruction and won't hesitate to use them if they get them.

Now, it looks like they really gonna be burning the midnight oil in the Senate tonight. That's because Democrats are planning an allnighter to debate US policy in Iraq and also to pressure Republicans and the White House to change strategy there. The session will include bipartisan proposals for getting US troops out of the fighting. Republicans call tonight's extended debate "political theater" ,however, President Bush said he's gonna veto any bill that sets a timetable for troop withdrawal.

Pro-wrestler Chris Benoit killed his family last month and then killed himself. Well, a report is now coming out providing more insight into his medical state of mind. Steroids were found in the wrestler's home and a Georgia State medical examiner says that the amount of testosterone in Benoit's urine suggests that the wrestler had been using steroids shortly before his death. The examiner also said that Beniot's 7-year-old son appeared to have been sedated with Xanax (a kind of anti-anxiety drug ) before he was killed and that the wrestler's wife had three different drugs in her system during the time of her death.

Meanwhile the father of nine-year-old Jessica Lunsford will tell a judge what he thinks of the man convictive kidnapping and killing his young daughter this afternoon. Mark Lunsford who testified briefly at the trial of John Evander Couey earlier this year will address the judge preparing to sentence the defendant. The jury in the case recommended death but it is really up to the judge whether or not to decide whether John Couey lives or if he dies. Defence lawyers argue that a death sentence would be unconstitutional because they claim Couey is mentally disabled.

And tuberculosis patient Andrew Speaker is out of surgery. Surgeons in Colorado removed a diseased portion of his lung earlier today. The Atlanta lawyer who set off an international health scare was in surgery for two hours at the University of Colorado Hospital.
