Hello, I'm Melissa Long here, at the cnn center in Atlanta, with a look at what's happening NOW IN THE NEWS.

Britain's Environment Agency says the situation is looking critical and the misery is said to continue. The worst flooding that hit England in 60 years has already swamped entire towns and yes more rain is in the forecast. The rising water has forced thousands of people from their homes and knocked out power for many others. And now two major rivers are so swollen they are threatening to burst their banks. The worst hit areas are counties in western and central England. Nine severe flood warnings are in effect across the country.

Four bomb blasts leave at least 16 people dead in the war-torn Iraqi capital. Forty others were injured in the Baghdad car bomb attack. Iraqi officials say the blasts went off in the mostly Shiite district of Karradah, two striking a popular shopping area and a government facility where ID cars are issued. The casualties include both civilians and Iraqi police.

President Bush had a colonoscopy over the weekend and White House Press Secretary Tony Snow says today that the five polyps which were removed are all benign. During that procedure, presidential powers were briefly transferred to Vice President Dick Cheney. Mr. Bush will have another routine colonoscopy three years from now.

Speaking of presidential powers, the first two cnn YouTube debates. Well the first of the two takes place tonight from Charleston, South Carolina. It is an opportunity for you, the public to ask the questions about the issues that most concern you. Thousands of YouTube users submitted questions. Americans seem to be focusing on Iraq, healthcare, funding social security and alternative energy research. Tonight's debate gets underway on cnn.com and cnn Television at 7 p.m. Eastern Time.

Even with his magic, Harry Potter can't beat two guys named "Chuck and Larry" at the box office. Earlier estimates show the comedy I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry in the top spot, raking in 34.8 million dollars in its debut weekend. Meantime, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix earns 32.2 million dollars in theaters of the weekend.
