Rescue workers now say it may be at least a week before they reach six workers trapped inside a collapsed coal mine in Utah. The co-owner of the collapsed mine, Robert Murray says seismic activity has forced a total shutdown of rescue efforts. Murray blames an earthquake for Monday's collapse. Iraq's Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki is trying though when he arrived in Tehran earlier today. Mr. al-Maliki has said that Iran can be a force for stability in his country. This will be teacher-turned astronaut Barbara Morgan's first trip into space. She was Christa McAuliffe's backup before the Challenger explosion more than 21 years ago.

Humidity and high temperatures are putting the metro-area under a heat advisory.

Barry Bonds, he broke that record last night, despite a continuing controversy of whether Bonds has used performance-enhancing drugs, the hometown crowd cheered loudly as the San Francisco Giants slugger hit his 756th career homerun, taking sole possession of baseball's most coveted record. The Giants lost the game, however, to the Washington Nationals 8:6. But congratulations to Barry Bonds.
