Hawaii was ready for anything when it came to Flossie which has now been downgraded from a hurricane to a tropical storm. Yesterday, it soaked Hawaii's Big Island with heavy rain and 25-foot waves. Right now, Flossie is 270 miles south of Honolulu.

Former NBA referee Tim Donaghy is pleading guilty. In the gambling case today, he admitted betting on NBA games including some he officiated. He told a federal judge he bet based on the condition of the players and the referees assigned to the game. He was also giving others inside information. Donaghy worked for more than 100 regular and postseason games during the past two years.

He was once accused of plotting to detonate a
dirty bomb. That's not what terror suspect Jose Padilla is on trial for, however. Jurors in Miami are weighing terrorism charges against him and two co-defendants. Prosecutors say they were part of an al-Qaeda cell, providing support for Islamic terrorists overseas, key government evidence, a so-called Mujahedin data form. Federal prosecutors say Padilla filled it out to attend an al-Qaeda training camp in 2000. His attorney says he didn't fill it out and he did not train as a terrorist. Padilla is one of the first terror suspects President Bush classified as an enemy combatant.

The slow moving process of shoveling coal into the car is all part of the efforts now to clear rubble that's blocking the tunnel entrance to the miners. The coal mine's operator says drilling on the third hole will probably be done tonight. As soon as that's finished, crews will drop a camera down that hole and look for any signs of the miners. They've been trapped for more than a week now. And if that doesn't work, the mine operator plans to drill a fourth hole.
