The US military's death toll in Iraq for the month of September stands at 62. That's the lowest figure for a single month in more than a year. One military official says that number is a result of several factors but it's still too high. Meantime, Iraqi authorities report that 301 bodies have been found dumped in Baghdad this month. That is also the lowest body count of any month this year. The commander of the multi-national corps says civilian casualties in Baghdad have dropped from an average of 32 per day to 12.
The latest Six-Party Talks on North Korea's nuclear program have ended without agreements. South Korea's chief negotiator says the both sides made some key concessions. But all decided to send a derailed (detailed) draft plan to their governments for study.
