Well hello to you, I hope that you are enjoying your Wednesday. I'm Veronica De La Cruz at the cnn Center in Atlanta. Let's get you your headlines right NOW IN THE NEWS.

As expected, President Bush vetoed a bill that would have expanded the Children's Health Insurance Program by 35 billion dollars over 5 years. The president called it too costly and too much like socialized medicine. This is the 4th veto of his presidency.

Investigators are trying to figure out why five workers died in a fire at a Colorado hydroelectric plant. They initially radioed that they weren't injured but crews later found their bodies in an underground tunnel. The workers were sealing a pipe when their equipment caught fire yesterday. Four other workers escaped alive.

The Michael Vick dogfighting case is back in court today. This time it's the state's turn. Vick faces state charges of beating or killing a dog and engaging in or promoting dogfighting. He has already pleaded guilty to federal charges. He was not in the courtroom today but he did attend a recent class on preventing animal cruelty. It was taught by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals(PETA).

First music downloading trial is underway right now in Minnesota. Jammie Thomas was sued by Sony BMG for illegally sharing 2,000 songs. The music industry brought legal action against 26,000 people but most settled their cases rather than go to trial.

And Anna Nicole Smith, former lawyer and companion, may be headed back to court. Howard K. Stern is suing over a book that claims he had a sexual encounter with Smith's ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead. So far, there is no word from the book's publisher. "Blonde Ambition" went on sale last month.
