U.S. electronics giant Apple has joined hands with China Mobile, the world's biggest telecom carrier, to sell more products in China.
The two companies have agreed to cooperate in the iPad sector.
According to the agreement, China Mobile sells iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C handsets on its fourth generation or 4G network on the Chinese mainland.
The contracted price for a 16-gigabyte iPhone 5S handset is fixed at nearly 5,500 yuan, or about 900 US dollars. Buyers can select a monthly payment varying from about 140 yuan to 590 yuan.
The number of pre-orders for China Mobile's iPhone devices in a 20-day period starting in the end of December has exceeded 1 million.
China Mobile has a user base of 760 million.
The two companies are looking forward to more business opportunities in the mobile and Internet technology market.

"Exciting new products, soaring sales numbers, and the potential for explosive growth" are what Jaguar Land Rover has promised to deliver at the upcoming "Auto China 2014" set to rev-up in April in Beijing.
The British auto maker will release its first-ever low-emission, hybrid SUV in the middle of this year.
The two-year-old joint production between the British carmaker and China's Chery Automotive will begin to meet the demands of the growing Chinese market.
By the middle of this year, users will start to see the first stages of the prototype production happening in the new jointly run factory in Chang-shu city near Shanghai.
The release of Jaguar Land Rover China's sales figures of last year were also enough to set the pulse racing.
It sold almost 100,000 cars last year, 30 percent more than that of the previous year. The Chinese market also contributed more than one-fifths of the global sales volume of 430,000 units.
In fact, the British carmaker's China Company based in Shanghai has seen sales of its Jaguar brand car surge 140 percent to nearly 18,000 last year. Additionally, more than 77,000 Land Rover vehicles were sold, up 17 percent.
