娱乐英语新闻:Schwarzenegger's Hollywood return slated for early 2013

LOS ANGELES, July 20 (Xinhua) -- Sixty-three-year-old former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will return to Hollywood on Jan. 18, 2013, as Liongate has set the date for his role in "The Last Stand".

According to entertainment website Deadline.com, the movie, which features the actor-turned-politician in the title role, is slated to hit the screen on the Martin Luther King holiday weekend in mid-January. Its South Korean director, Kim Jee-Woon, was behind a number of blockbusters including "A Tale of Two Sisters," "A Bittersweet Life," "The Good, The Bad, and the Weird" and the ultra-violent "I Saw Devil."

The action thriller, which is also described as contemporary Western, talks about a small town sheriff's attempt to stop an escaped drug dealer who gets hold of a "super car" and attempts to escape justice.

Schwarzenegger has also been rumored to be in the mix for several film projects including future installments in "The Terminator" franchise, remakes of "Predator" and "The Running Man."

The former movie star had planned to return to his old business earlier but recent revelations of an adultery scandal forced him to postpone the comeback.
