体坛英语新闻：Fenerbahce extends contract with coach Yanal

ANKARA, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Turkish football club Fenerbahce has extended the contract with 2013-14 Super League-winning coach Ersun Yanal for another two years, local Daily News reported on Friday.

According to the terms of the new deal, Yanal receives a salary of 1.75 million euros per annum plus other fringe benefits.

Fenerbahce Chief Executive Officer Hasan Hakki Yilmaz heaped praise on Yanal during the signing ceremony.

"We are renewing the contract of Ersun Yanal, who played a big role in Fenerbahce winning this season's league championship," he said.

"We are very happy to continue working with him. And we are hoping for the best."

Yanal said he was very happy to be a member of the great Fenerbahce family and pledged to repeat the feat.

"We are a big family, and it is a great honor to be a member of this family and aim to repeat this success in the seasons ahead," Yanal said.

This season's title was Yanal's first in his 18-year coaching career. The 52-year-old Yanal had previously coached the Turkish national team in 2004.
