BERLIN, July 23 (Xinhua) -- Joachim Loew said on Wednesday that he would remain as the Germany coach through the 2016 European Championship in France.

"At the minute I can't imagine anything better than to work with this team, to lead them to Euro 2016 in France, and to keep on developing the team and individuals," Loew said in an interview published on the German Football Association (DFB) website.

Loew, 54, took over as German head coach in 2006 after two years as assistant and extended his contract until 2016 before the World Cup in Brazil.
