MADRID, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- Defending champions FC Barcelona qualified for the last 16 of the Spanish King's Cup after defeating third tier side Villanovense 6-1 in the Camp Nou Stadium.

The second leg was destined to decide everything after a 0-0 in the first leg last month, and despite fielding a side containing several fringe and B-team players, Barca took an early lead through Dani Alves.

Sandro Ramirez doubled Barca's lead on 21 minutes and although Juan Guarnido gave the visitors hope just before the half hour, Sandro's second of the game re-established Barca's comfortable lead.

Munir made it 4-1 with a powerful header 6 minutes after the break and Sandro completed his hat-trick before Murir added his second 15 minutes from time.

Barca were playing their second leg because of their commitments in the World Club Championships, while the rest of Wednesday's games were first leg ties.

Real Madrid won 3-1 away to Cadiz, but their result could be in vain after it was revealed they could be kicked out of the competition for lining up Denis Cheryshev in their starting 11.

Cheryshev, who should not have played through suspension, even scored his side's first goal after just 3 minutes.

Isco made it 2-0 20 minutes after halftime and scored his second with 16 minutes remaining and Marquez pulled one back in the closing minutes, but the rules state that if Cadiz appeal against Cheryshev's appearance, Madrid will be disqualified from the competition.

Valencia, who confirmed Gary Neville as their new coach on Wednesday, came through a potentially difficult tie in Barakaldo with a 3-1 win.

Sevilla were too strong for Logrones and claimed a 3-0 win away from home, while Deportivo la Coruna came back from a goal down to beat Llagostera 2-1 thanks to goals from Fede and Oriol Riera.

Iago Aspes was on target twice as Celta Vigo defeated second division Almeria 3-1, while Vargas and Vadillo gave Betis a 2-0 first leg advantage at home to Sporting Gijon, the same result Rayo Vallecano take from their top-flight tie at home to local rivals, Getafe.
