2010年上海世博会到底为我们带来了什么?

With the theme of "City, Make Life Better", Shanghai Expo 2010 is dedicated to realizing "three harmonies" - harmony between humans and nature, people-to-people harmony, harmony between history and the future.

The application of new-energy technology is a highlight of the Expo, such as a cleaning system for Huangpu River's waterland, use of LED lighting techniques and other ecological technologies.

The exhibition pavilions are being built in different styles but all pavilions will be of roughly the same size, to make an harmonious impression.

"I feel that we are building a global village, where each house is a country. The common goal of everyone is to build a sustainable and harmonious city."Shanghai Expo is in the center of Shanghai's industrial area, and will 380,000 square meters of historical buildings.

In addition, 250,000 square meters of modern industrial buildings have been transformed for the expo.

"We cherish this heritage very much. It is the earliest industrial heritage in East Asia. During the whole process of working, we think we should bring new life to it."　 Shanghai Expo will open on May 1st, 2010 and end on October 31th, 2010. More than 70 million visitors are expected from home and broad.
