How does a basketball game start?

The basketball game starts with a jump ball. There are five players on each team (10 players altogether) surrounded by the middle of the court. Then a referee steps in the middle and throws the ball up between the two tallest guys, or the two guys that can jump the highest. Then you start by tipping the ball to your teammates.
