Number three, can’t find a flight or one that is cheap enough? Check airline websites for vacation package deals, the kind that may come with a hotel and rental car. Believe it or not, these packages can be cheaper than purchasing air fare alone.

Number two, travel the Saturday before Thanksgiving and wait until Tuesday to come home.
