On Wednesday, Chinese President Hu Jintao met with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The meetings took place on the sidelines of BRICS Leaders Meeting scheduled for Thursday in Sanya. Leaders from Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa will attend the summit under the banner of "Looking into the Future, Sharing Prosperity".

Meanwhile, South African President Jacob Zuma touched down Wednesday morning in Sanya, bringing with him a huge delegation. South Africa is the newest member of the international group of emerging economies.
