酒后驾驶面临更严厉的处罚

Drivers in China now face stiffer penalties if convicted of drunk driving. The newly amended Criminal Law took effect on Sunday.
现在,中国司机如果被证明酒后驾驶,将面临更严厉的处罚。新的《刑法修正案》于周日起生效。
25 year old Li became the first person in the Chinese capital to be detained for drunk driving under the amended criminal law. A squad of traffic police from Dongcheng District said they stopped Li at the Chaoyangmen Overpass at midnight.

Li was brought to the police office, where a breath test showed his blood alcohol level was almost double the legal limit.

The newly amended criminal law makes all drunk driving a criminal offence. Offenders will have their drivers' licenses revoked upon conviction, and will have to wait five years to apply for a new one.
新的《刑法修正案》规定所有的酒后驾车都属于刑事犯罪。一定罪,犯罪者将被吊销驾驶证,五年内不得重新取得机动车驾驶证。
