诺基亚在中国面临智能手机的挑战

Nokia's withdrawal from Japan has created a stir in the mobile phone industry. And the situation in China is not so positive either. At major mobile phone stores in Beijing, most Nokia handsets are discounted.

Nokia's entry-level and mid-range models are still popular, and sales seem stable. But Nokia's second-quarter report shows shipments to China declined by over 50 percent compared with the first quarter this year, and the year-on-year drop is more than 40 percent.
诺基亚中低档型号的手机仍然很受欢迎，销量似乎很稳定。但是，诺基亚第二季度的报告显示，和今年第一季度相比，运往中国的货物量减少50%以上，而与去年同期相比，则降低了40%以上。

As smart phones become popular, consumers are paying more attention to software and systems. Nokia faces increasing challenges from brands like Apple, Samsung and HTC.
