中国敦促美国取消轮胎特别关税

China is urging the U.S. to eliminate special tariffs imposed on Chinese tires. Ministry of Commerce spokesman, Shen Danyang, says China perceives the action as a protectionist measure that indulges domestic political pressure in the U.S. The Ministry also argues the move is damaging to Chinese business interests.
中国正敦促美国终止对中国轮胎征收特殊关税。商务部发言人沈丹阳表示，中方认为这种行为是为了转嫁美国国内政治压力所采取的贸易保护主义措施。商务部还声明，这种行为损害了中国的贸易利益。

In 2009, the U.S. imposed duties of up to 35 percent on certain Chinese passenger vehicle and light truck tires, citing concerns for the domestic tire industry.
