巴黎中国电影节今日开幕

The 6th Chinese film festival in Paris was opened at the renowned Gaumont cinema on Tuesday. Celebrities from both France and China's film industry attended the opening ceremony.
第6届巴黎中国电影节周二在闻名遐迩的高蒙电影院开幕。来自法国、中国电影界的名人参加了本次开幕式。

The 6th annual film fest features various kinds of Chinese films, all of which will be shown according to their category. There are classic films, new releases, documentaries and animated films. The event promotes Chinese culture as well as the exchange and cooperation between Chinese and French film industries. For the opening ceremony, organizers chose to screen the film "Swordsmen."
第6届年度电影节以各种各样的中国电影为特色，所有这些电影将根据它们的类别进行放映。有经典电影、最新影片、纪录片和动画片。这次盛会在弘扬中国文化的同时，也促进了中法电影业的交流与合作。至于开幕式，组织者选择放映电影《武侠》。

Deanna Gao, president of Chinese film festival in Paris, said, "The scale of this festival is greater than ever before. 56 films will be shown in 6 categories, including new releases. The 'Swordsmen' directed by Peter Chan, is the only Chinese film that was selected for the Cannes Films Festival."
巴黎中国电影节主席高淳芳表示：“本届电影节的规模大于往届。将上映6个类别的56部电影，其中包括最新影片。由陈可辛导演的《武侠》是唯一一部入选戛纳电影节的中国影片。”

"Swordsmen" director, Peter Chan and his wife Sandra Ng attended the opening ceremony as well.
《武侠》的导演陈可辛及其妻子吴君如也参加了开幕式。

Peter Chan, HK director, said, "Of course, we hope the film festival will create a larger audience for Chinese movies. The French are open-minded, we hope the Chinese films will be a hit. And in my opinion, a good film should make different audiences know what it is."
香港导演陈可辛称：“当然，我们希望本届电影节能为中国电影创造更高的上座率。法国人的思想很开明，我们希望中国电影会受到欢迎。在我看来，一部好的电影应该让不同的观众知道它在讲什么。”

In the category of classic films there will be 14 films by screenwriter Sang Hu，including "Endless Love" and "Long Live My Wife" from 1947. Professor Li Yizhong, the son of Sang Hu, also attended the opening ceremony.
在经典电影的类别中，将会有电影剧本作家桑弧的14部影片，包括了1947年创造的《不了情》和《太太万岁》。桑弧的儿子李毅中也参加了开幕式。

Later on October 8th, a special silent film concert will be held at the Balzac cinema when Ruan Linyu's "Goddess" will be shown.
10月8日晚些时候，巴尔扎克电影院将举办一场特别的无声片音乐会，放映阮玲玉的《女神》。
