中国考虑开放车险市场

China, the world's largest auto market, is likely to open its mandatory auto insurance market to foreign companies next year, according to the Chairman of the Insurance Association of China. The market, worth 200 billion yuan or about 30 billion U.S dollars, is currently dominated by Chinese insurers such as PICC Property and Casualty Co. and Ping An Insurance if this latest move goes ahead, regulators would aim to introduce more competition.
据中国汽车保险协会会长表示，中国，全球最大的汽车市场，明年可能对外国公司开放汽车强制险市场。这个价值2000亿元，折合约300亿美元的市场目前主要被中国的保险公司控制，例如中国人民财产保险股份有限公司和平安保险公司，如果这个最新的行动进行，监管者将旨在引入更多的竞争。

Foreign firms can only sell commercial auto insurance now but not mandatory auto insurance. Giving foreign companies access to the mandatory market may help them compete more effectively with Chinese rivals in selling commercial auto policies as car-owners tend to buy both products in one shop.
外国公司现在只能销售汽车商业保险，但汽车强制险却不可以。允许外国公司进入强制险市场可能可以帮助他们与销售商业汽车保险单的中国竞争对手进行更有效的竞争，因为车主倾向于在一家企业购买两种保险。

But experts say, the opening of the market will not have big impact in the short term and it will take time for foreign insurers to steal market share from the big players like Ping An and PICC.

Currently, 19 foreign insurers operating in China recorded 4.3 billion yuan in total premiums in 2010, equivalent to just one percent of the premiums collected by 34 Chinese players.
目前，在中国经营的19家外国保险公司2010年登记的保险费总计为43亿元，只相当于34家中国保险公司收取的保险费的1%。
