中国第一家机器人商店在武汉开张

The first store on the Chinese mainland to sell robots has opened in Wuhan city. With robots of many different functions on display, it has become one of the city’s most popular shops.
中国大陆第一家机器人商店在武汉市开张。这家商店展示了很多不同功能的机器人，它已经成为这个城市最受欢迎的商店之一。

Singing, dancing, this robot can even become upset if you fail to treat her well.

She can respond to many orders, showing off her versatility.

A robot answered: "I can tell stories, recite poems from the Tang dynasty, teach babies English and imitate animal sounds. I can do lots of things."

This vacuum cleaner is not just any old household appliance. It holds the key to housework. Being programmed to automatically escape when it gets stuck by things in the way, it can also give you a helping hand in the kitchen. And the culinary quirks don’t end there as this robotic cooking pot is proving its worth.

A shop staff said "It’s good for lazy people. I’ve been using it since I bought it, it’s effective and cuts out cooking smells."

Costing 5,000 yuan for two robots, some see this as an acceptable price considering the hard work they do.

Yang Zhihui, Robot store owner, said "Western buyer trends show there is potential for robots to become an important part in people’s lives. The Chinese market is huge, and the cost of robots continues to drop due to mass production."
