中国推进对职业病患者的帮助
Chinese lawmakers have proposed more measures in helping those suffering from occupational illnesses. That’s according to a draft law amendment at the current NPC Standing Committee session, which opened on Monday.
中国立法者提出更多的措施来帮助职业病患者。这是根据周一开幕的本届全国人大常委会会议通过的一项法律修正草案。
27,000 is the number of new cases of work-related illnesses reported in 2010, according to statistics from the Ministry of Health. But this alarming number is still increasing.
根据卫生部的统计数据,2010年新报告的与工作相关的疾病病例的数量是27000例。但是这个扰乱人心的数字仍在不断增加。
During the third reading at the session, lawmakers proposed further effort in the draft amendment to the Law on Occupational Illness Prevention and Control.
在会议的第三次审议中,立法者建议对《职业病防治法》修正案做进一步的努力。
According to the draft, local governments now can arrange patients to get treatment if their former employers are no longer in business or the claimed original work relations cannot be ascertained.
根据草案,如果病人的原用人单位已经不存在或者无法确认劳动关系,当地政府现在可以安排病人接受治疗。
Currently in China, there are about 200 million migrant workers who are in regular contact with such dangers as dust, lead and other poisonous materials. They often go undetected in the early stages of exposure, but long term it can be fatal or harm their working lives.
目前,中国约有2亿农民工定期接触粉尘、铅或其它有毒物质。在接触的早期阶段,它们经常没有被发现,但是时间久了,可能会致命或危急他们的工作寿命。
Due to a lack of access to quality medical services, many workers who sustain occupational illnesses cannot receive appropriate treatment. The draft this time proposes the country promote and improve treatment and rehabilitation centers for occupational illnesses.
由于缺乏获得优质的医疗服务的机会,很多患职业病的工人不能接受恰当的治疗。这次的草案建议,国家促进和改进职业病医疗康复中心。
Under the amended law, workers are able to seek legal aid when their rights at work are infringed as well as when their health conditions are affected by work.
在修订的法律之下,工人工作时权利受到侵犯以及工作影响到他们的健康状况时,可以寻求法律援助。
