Relics have been newly-excavated in a sunken ship that dates back to Qing Dynasty, which is around 200 years ago.
Wednesday’s antique discovery in the Xiaobaijiao-1 was comprised of mainly blue-and-white porcelain pieces. Archaeologists said that the bottom of the vessel is protected well thanks to huge stones inside.
Over 500 relics have been recovered to date, and were collectively presented on Wednesday. The Xiaobaijiao-1 is an ancient merchant wooden vessel which sank nearly two centuries ago off the coast of east China’s Zhejiang province.
