世贸组织专家小组驳回美国的指控

US complain to the WTO on China's handling of cross-border electronic payments. A WTO panel has dismissed US accusations concerning Chinese payment card giant UnionPay's market status at home.

The panel ruled that measures by China have not barred Foreign Service providers from entering the Chinese market. The ruling also rejected the US view that Foreign Service providers can provide cross-border supply of electronic payment services into China. However, it also concluded that China "acted inconsistently with its market access commitment". The Ministry of Commerce welcomed the ruling at a press conference on Monday, but says China "takes reservations" in some points of the ruling.
