中国成功发射地球观测卫星

China has successfully launched its first high resolution earth observing satellite from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center.

The satellite, Gao Fen Number-ONE, is designed to aid agriculture, help prevent natural disasters, and improve public security. It was carried into orbit by a Long March 2D rocket, and was launched with three other satellites from Turkey, Argentina and Ecuador.
