英国760人死于高温天气

It’s not only China that’s suffering from high temperatures, heatwaves are also sweeping Europe.

The UK usually enjoys cool summers, but this year has seen multiple days passing well above 30 degrees Celsius. 760 people have died from the heatwave so far.

Temperatures in Germany are at their highest in 30 years, hitting almost 40 degrees Celsius. Southern Europe is also seeing similar temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius or more.

In Bosnia, people were being advised to stay indoors and drink plenty of water. Emergency care centres have reported an increasing number of patients, most complaining of dizziness, headaches and upset stomachs.

In neighbouring Serbia, many headed to the Ada Ciganlija lake on the outskirts of the capital, Belgrade, where a water-misting system is in place to keep those not in the water cool.
