Some say it’s an extremely simple function, but SMS messaging is a market that continues to grow, with more and more players entering this competitive space.
One of those grabbing a bigger and bigger share of this market is the App - WeChat - owned by the Chinese internet company Tencent Holdings Ltd.. WeChat is currently the number one messaging App in China. And as Mark Niu reports, WeChat is intensifying its efforts to expand abroad.

Tencent, which now has several offices in the U.S?hopes to grow their WeChat user base in America. The company did recently announce that it had 70 million registered WeChat users outside of China- a jump of 30 million users in roughly three months.
