China has more than 200 million migrant workers in cities. They contribute greatly to the country’s urbanization. Many such people want to or have already settled down in cities, but they cannot afford to buy a home.

Earlier, we spoke to Professor Tao Ran, an expert on Public Economics and Governance at Renmin University of China in Beijing. He offered some insight into this problem.
