反政府示威者继续聚集在基辅
While Ukraine and the EU trying to work out a deal between the two side, inside Ukraine, protesters are continued to gather in Central Kiev. As protesters rebuilt barricades torn down by police, the maine obstacle in their way seems is the President Viktor Yanukovych.
"The opposition keep increasing their demands. They are calling for the current government to resign and for the presidential election to be brought forward. It’s obvious that the government won’t accept such conditions. This is not a negotiation, but an overturn of the current regime," said Alena Zelincheneo, journalist of Ukrainian National TV Station.
Yanukovych has invited all parties, including the opposition, for talks to find a compromise to the current political standoff. But protest leaders on Wednesday rejected the president's invitation, ans insiste they would not talk with President Yanukovych until their demands were met. Apparte from calling for Yanukovych and his government to step down, opposition leaders have demanded that authorities release the country's jailed former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and bring forward the presidential election date.
