国际足联秘书长展望巴西世界杯
With just 30 days to go until the FIFA World Cup starts, FIFA Secretary General Jerome Valcke is looking forward to the tournament despite some of the problems the organisers have faced.
The official admits that there is still work to do but stressed that "security in and around the stadiums is no issue, and that fans would enjoy "a great tournament". But The Frenchman knows a good start can set the tone.
"So, you have games where not only part of the stadium you will have maybe 80 per cent of the stadiums which will be used, you will have 100 per cent of the stadium, and you will have a high level of hospitality, high level of media interest, so it means that we cannot fail during these first five days." Jerome Valcke said, "So, the pressure is there to make sure that we will be perfectly ready for this first week of the World Cup. As for the rest? But the first week is really a very challenging one."
