减贫仍将维持核心地位

American economist Jeffrey Sachs says poverty reduction will remain at the core of the development agenda once the Milennium Development Goals or MDGs expire next year. But he warns of the ongoing dangers, should inequity lead to a lack of social inclusion.

One of the youngest Harvard professors at the age of 28, Sachs is in Beijing this week to gather key figures under his Sustainable Development Solutions Network. He spoke exclusively to James Chau in this wide-ranging interview.
