李娜横仅用69分钟扫穆斯伯格 强势晋级
China's Li Na was up against Austria's Yvonne Meusburger looking for a spot in the third round at Wimbledon. This was the first meeting between the two, and the Austria qualifier would start strong as she would hold a 2-1 lead on serve mind you.
But the second-seeded Li would start to take control of things, dictating play from the baseline and would break her opponent to take an advantage.
In fact the world number two would go on to win five straight games in the opening set and sealed the frame with a service winner. 6-2 is how it ends.
Li had two early service breaks in the next set and would take charge at 4-2 and was on the verge of advancing.
Serving for the match, Li clinched the win by showing off her serve and volley skills --- she takes the win 6-2, 6-2 in a little more than an hour -- she will next play Czech Barbora Zahlavova Strycova, who beat 32nd seed Elena Vestnina 6-4, 6-2.
"I think the last time we meet was like in the clay court. I know she was pretty smart player. Pretty flat. I think it’s good for her to play on the grass court. For me, I think I just play my game, play more aggressive, as much as I can come to the net, follow the plan, yeah," Li said.
