也门总统辞职
Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi has resigned, believed to be under pressure from Shiite Houthi fighters holding him captive at his residence. The president and the Houthis reached a deal to end a standoff on Wednesday.
The parliament rejected Hadi's resignation and said it will convene an emergency meeting on Friday. Hadi cited the events of September, when an Al-Qaeda suicide bomber blew himself up at a gathering of the Shia Houthi group. At least 47 people were killed. Hadi said that affected the political transitional process. He said he's no longer able to achieve the goal he was elected for. He also said he'd been abandoned by other parties.
Also stepping down on Thursday Prime Minister Khalid Bahah and his cabinet. Bahah said he'd tried his best to restore security and stability since taking office in November, but Yemen's political situation has been out of control.
