民营企业超过国有企业
For the first time, the most valuable Chinese brand is no longer a state firm but a private company. That's one main trend we are seeing from the report.
Private companies represent half of the value of the Top 10 companies. whereas five years ago, the Top 5 brands were all SOEs...Now if we look at value growth, private companies rose 97 percent since 2013, while SOEs declined 9%.
Another key trend we are seeing is that tech related retail brands have become the powerhouses, showing rapid growth in the past year. They have now surpassed financial institutions as the highest value category...contributing 23 percent of the Top 100's total value.
The third trend we saw is that the gap between Chinese brands and multinational brands is closing. Five years ago, multinational brands had a big advantage over Chinese brands on reputation and trust worthiness,Chinese brands are now catching up, attracting more domestic consumers.
