纽约市长:关注IS的威胁视频
The Mayor of New York City says they are aware of a newly released ISIL video, which suggests the city is a potential target of attacks such as those in Paris last week. But Bill de Blasio also told reporters at Times Square that there are no current or specific threats.
"We understand it is the goal of terrorists to intimitate and disrupt our democratic society. We will not submit to their wishes. It's important to know that there is no specific and credible threat against New York City," Blasio said.
The mayor encouraged New Yorkers to "go about their business" as normal, while remaining watchful. The city's Police Commissioner William Bratton agreed with the mayor at the news conference. He said police will strengthen security efforts to protect the citizens. The ISIL video runs for nearly six minutes. It shows a brief glimpse of Times Square and a suicide bomber holding what appears to be a trigger.
Most of the footage is scenes of Paris and French President Francois Hollande.
