英国各大商场举行反恐演练

A police exercise simulating a terrorist attack has been held at a major shopping center in Britain's Manchester.

During the drill at the Intu Trafford Centre, a man acting as a suicide bomber detonated a fake bomb, and terrorists began to shoot at people. Armed police charged into the building and traded fire with the terrorists -- before they took over the shopping center.  Doctors, firefighters and eight hundred volunteers acting as customers also participated in the drill.  Volunteers were equipped with earmuffs and goggles to avoid injuries. Professional dressers were invited to provide make up for volunteers acting as the wounded. More drills will be held across Britain, in a bid to better handle terrorist attacks.
