如何理解feel differently

新目标英语九年级4页中的3a 中有这样一句话：

Wei Ming feels differently.

许多朋友问，这个句子中为什么为 feel differently，而不用 feel different 呢？这里是不是用错了呢？

其实这个句子是完全正确的。课文的语境是这样的：

Wei Ming feels differently.He’s been learning English for six years and really loves it.He thinks studying grammar is a great way to learn a language.

很显然，在这个特定的语境中，若用feel different反而错了。

不错，feel 作为连系动词，其后应接形容词作表语，而不是接副词。如：

正：He feels happy. 他感到幸福。

误：He feels happily.

这个句子的实际思是“他感到他是幸福的”，相当于说 He feels that he is happy.

现在我们来看看 feel differently 和 feel different：前者中的feel 是实意动词，后者中的feel为连系动词。比较：

Wei Ming feels differently. 魏明有不同看法。（相当于Wei Ming has different ideas.）

Wei Ming feels different. 魏明感觉与众不同。（相当于 Wei Ming feels that he is different from others.）

现在我们来看看课文中的句子：

意思是：魏明的看法不一样。他学习英语已有六年了，并且确实很喜欢英语。他认为，学习语法是学习一门语言的很好方法。
