M: Thank you. I will.

M：谢谢，我会的。

W: Good. How about you?

W：还好，你呢？

M: I am going to resign. A few of the new staff have already left. Obviously, a lot of similar jobs pay much better salaries.
M：我准备辞职了，最近有一些新职员都另谋高就了，显然有许多类似的工作薪水更高。

W: But your company is huge. Can't they afford to pay the staff decent wages.
W：但你们是大公司啊，难道他们付不起像样的工资吗？

M: But we have a policy of paying according to seniority in the company, so new employees get quite low salary, no matter how excellent they have done.

M：但我们公司的体制是按照员工在公司的资历发工资的，所以不管干得怎样出色，新员工的工资都比较低。

W: That's shortsighted. By the time the workers are experienced and contributing. They are likely to go.
W：这样做太没眼光了。等这些新员工有了经验并做出贡献，他们也差不多走了。

M: That's why I am going to leave.

M：这就是我辞职的原因。

W: But you have already worked there for five years.
W：但是你已经在那儿工作五年了。

M: I am worried about my future. I can't believe that our company is as big as it is. The company can only continue to grow by taking care of its staff.
M：可我担心我的未来，我真不敢相信我们公司是一家大企业呢。只有体恤员工，公司才能继续发展。

W: Well. The management doesn't seem to think that way. Anyways, you have to think twice before you act.
W：话虽如此，但管理层却不这么想。不管怎样，你要三思而后行。
