A: Gabby，could you give me some suggestion? I want to choose a school to study for an MBA.

A:盖比，你能给我点建议吗？我想选择一个学校去读MBA。

G: Er... you may take into account Said Business School of the University of Oxford. You should have heard of this School.

G:哦……你可以考虑一下牛津大学赛德商学院。你应该听说过这个学院吧。

A: Said Business School? Actually, I know nothing about it.

G: Well, it is the business school of Oxford University, which is the centre to learn business，management and finance. Although founded only more than ten years, it has become the leading business school around the world.

A: Really? It develops so fast!

A: I suppose it benefits from the world reknowned Oxford University, with a long history of more than 800 years.

G: Maybe! In spite of a very short history, Said Business School has maintained a close relationship with Oxford’s other colleges on teaching and research: It integrates the Oxford’s first-class academic resources with its Innovative Business Education, so as to success in the theoretical and practical innovation of business education.

A： Innovative Business Education? This is my first time to hear this concept. Would you please explain it to me?

G: As a matter of fact, “Innovative Business Education” is an educational idea, which asserts to put innovation and practice on the first place. Since established, Said Business School has made “Innovative Business Education"，along with “Enterpreneurship”，as its educational idea.

Many American business schools devote to produce “business versatile person” and “big corporation managers”，yet Said Business School focuses on “Enterpreneurship” in its teaching and research. However, Said Business School’s educational ideas are related to Oxford’s tradition to combine innovation and teaching.

G: As I know，there are two MBA programmes in the School, MBA and EMBA, which have the same courses. The only difference between them is that MBA is one year and full time while EMBA is 21 months and part time.

A： Well, what’s the course arrangement of Said Business School?

G: There are three kinds of its MBA curriculum: Core Courses, Electives and Project There are eight Core Courses: Finance, Decision Science, Financial Reporting, Strategy, Managerial Economics, Developing Effective Managers, Operations Management, and Marketing. It has a wide range of Electives, as many as twentyseven at present, such as Private equity, Capitalraising techniques, Competition strategy and performance, and so on. The MBA program of the School emphasizes very much on practical application. As thus, all students have to finish two Projects, Entrepreneurship Project and Strategic Consulting Project.

G:该商学院的MBA课程主要分三大类：核心课程、选修课程和项目实践课程。 核心课程共有8门：金融、决策科学、财务报表、.战略、管理经济学、培养 高效的经理人、运营管理和市场。其选修课范围极其广泛，目前有27门，如： 私菅企业、筹资技巧、竞争、战略和运营等。赛德商学院的MBA项目非常强 调实践应用。因此，所有的学生都求、须完成两门项目实践课程，即创业项目 和战略顾问项目。
