Steven meets traffic in the street. He decides to talk with a stranger to spend the rush hour time.
史蒂文在街上遇到交通阻塞。他决定和一个陌生人聊天来度过这段交通高峰时段

Steven：Excuse me, I’ve been waiting here for fifteen minutes.Do you know why the traffic is so heavy?
史蒂文：打扰了，我已经在这儿等了15分钟了。你知道交通为什么这么拥堵吗？

Stranger: A lorry overturned on the road and blocked it, so all the traffic was held up.
陌生人：一辆货车在路上翻车了，堵了路，所以交通被阻塞。

Steven：Oh, what a terrible situation! This traffic is unbearable.
史蒂文：哦，多糟糕啊！这交通真令人受不了。

Stranger: Yeah, traffic was brought to a standstill by the accident. If we had gone early we would miss the traffic.
陌生人：是啊！出了事故以后，交通陷于停顿状态。我们早些走就能避开交通拥挤时间了。

Steven：I agree with you. But now we have to wait. The sky is overcast, and it is very sultry. I fear a thunder storm is brewing.
史蒂文：我同意，但是现在我们必须等。天空阴沉沉的，很是闷热。恐怕暴风雨要来了。

Stranger: Don’t worry. The traffic jam is said to be over soon.
陌生人：别担心。据说交通拥挤就要结束了。

Steven：Yes, I hope so. Thank you for telling me this.
史蒂文：是啊，但愿如此吧！谢谢你告诉我这些。

Stranger: It’s my pleasure.
陌生人：很乐意这么做。
