1. An apple polisher 马屁精

I don't like Robert, because he got high grades on the exam by being an apple polisher to the teachers.
我不喜欢罗伯特，因为他总是靠拍老师的马屁来获取高分。

释义：直译是擦苹果的人。典故源于美国西部“拓边”时期，那时人们都很穷，老师没有工资，学生上课时给老师带点粮食水果之类的东西就算学费了。哪个学生把苹果擦得越亮，老师越是高兴，以此比喻善于拍马屁的人。

2. Ants in one's pants 坐立不安

I have ants in my pants for the coming exam on Tuesday.
