1. In hot water 有麻烦

Joe is really in hot water now - his girl friend just found out he's seeing another woman.
乔伊现在可是难办了。因为他女朋友最近发现他另外还有一个女朋友。

疯狂联想：in hot water 并不是“在热水中”，而是指某人或某些人遇到非常麻烦的问题了。与汉语中说的“热锅上的蚂蚁”真是异曲同工。

2. In one's hair 激怒，让人烦

My little brother Tommy is always getting in my hair!
我的弟弟汤米总是让我心烦！
