A deadly mass shooting in a popular Orlando, Florida gay nightclub has left at least 50 dead, and 53 wounded. Orlando officials have identified the shooter as Omar Mateen and are still investigating if the shooter acted alone.

President Obama addressed the nation in response to the deadly Orlando shooting. Obama called it “a horrific massacre”, adding that “the shooter was filled with hatred” as he carried out what the president deemed“an act of terror”.
