Anti-Trump protests continued mostly peacefully through the early morning and day. But in Portland, Oregon overnight, one protester was shot and four people were detained. In New York, about 2,000 protesters marched along Fifth Avenue.

Protests erupted in Cincinnati after jurors failed to come up with a verdict against a white former police officer charged with murder in the fatal shooting of an unarmed black motorist. Prosecutors will now decide whether to seek a new trial.

A bomb blast at Sufi shrine at southwest Pakistan left at least 50 people dead, with more than 100 wounded on Saturday. The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the attack.

A video from Idlib, Syria shows Civil Defense members pulling out an infant from inside of an apartment building on fire on Saturday. Opposition activists said Syrian government warplanes conducted air strikes on several villages in Idlib province, which is an insurgent stronghold.
